Release Highlights
- Boring logs: Sharpened boring log graphics and added more flexibility for drilling method images.
- Billing costs: Added a new permission to hide billing cost fields in Field and Lab while continuing to capture billing data.

Boring Logs
Sharper boring log graphics
Soil patterns and well graphics in boring log PDF reports now render with improved clarity, making it easier to distinguish subsurface materials and interpret drilling conditions.
Automatic drilling method images
Expanding MetaField’s ability to configure and support a variety of different boring log formats, custom images can now be associated to drilling methods.
These images will automatically display based on the selected drilling method.
Consistent drop line styling
Boring log drop lines now render with the same crisp, consistent style as other lines in the report.
Consistent report table spacing
Fixed inconsistent character spacing in boring log report tables.
Billing Costs
New Billing Costs permission
Firms can now choose whether to display or hide the Billing Costs section when completing records in the field.
To change this setting, update any role with Field permissions and disable the new Billing Costs permission. Billing data will continue to be captured automatically in the background, even when the section is hidden.
Permission lets administrators control who can view billing cost fields in Field and Lab (LIMS).
Billing Costs visibility fixes
Resolved issues affecting the visibility of Billing Costs fields in QC Review and when using the "Select All" permissions option.
General Reporting
More control over report layout
Report designers can now disable legacy content grouping so elements appear in the exact order they were placed. This is most useful for test reports where you may want to display sample information lower on the page.
Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to learn more about applying this setting into your report configurations.
Chart elements can also be linked directly to a form chart to ensure consistent formatting.
Report settings defaults for new reports
Creating new reports for configurable forms is now faster with improved default settings. New reports automatically receive a default file name and description.
Commonly used settings also default to Yes, saving time during report setup.
Element ordering fix
Fixed an issue where a panel element rendered after a multi-record grid despite being positioned before it.
Sample & Field Forms
Faster sample form loading
Sample forms now load in under 10 seconds, even for larger customer data sets.
Proctor form crash fix
Resolved an issue that could cause certain forms to crash when selecting Proctor test data.
Specification population fix
Fixed an issue where specifications weren't populating consistently on DIY Core/Gradation/Moisture forms.
Draft sample settings fix
Fixed an issue causing the Disable After Save setting in DIY Sampling to apply to draft samples.
Text field copy fix
Fixed an issue causing text library overrides to replace text area content when copying from a previous record.
Data grid action fix
Resolved an issue where Move Up, Move Down, and Delete actions did not work correctly in data grids containing text area fields with default values.
Lab & Dashboard
Dashboard tile fix
Fixed performance issues with the Lab Testing Home Screen tile that facilitates faster loading of analyzed data sets.
Draft report fix
Resolved an issue where closing a report preview in the Discrete LIMS Review Queue could unintentionally create a draft report.
Work order copy fix
Copying a work order no longer copies the address of the original project.
