We're introducing the MetaField MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector, which links MetaField directly to your AI platform of choice. Once connected, you can query your field and lab data, get instant answers, and streamline workflows without ever leaving your AI tool.

Here are just a few examples of questions you can ask:

1. "What's the soil compaction pass rate on this project?"
2. "Which work orders next week don't have a technician assigned yet?"
3. "What concrete breaks are due this week, and are any past their 28-day window?"

That is not all - coming late this year to MetaField - embedded AI agents to transform the way you use MetaField.

We're excited to announce the release of the MetaField Unanet Integration. This new connection can be found under Administration > Integrations, and will keep your Projects, Clients, Contacts, and Billing data in sync between the two systems automatically.

The integration syncs Projects, Clients, and Contacts from Unanet into MetaField, and Billing data from MetaField back to Unanet. If an individual record fails during a sync, the integration will continue processing the rest of the batch rather than stopping altogether, and an error notification email will be sent to your configured recipient so any issues can be addressed quickly.

You can now set major (labeled) and minor (unlabeled) depth scale intervals independently on boring log reports, so reports match your project's exact depth notation requirements.

Depth and Elevation columns can now have their tick marks aligned to the left or right edge, making it easier to line up columns placed on either side of a report.

Plasticity charts now automatically resize when a sample's values fall outside the standard range, so points and reference overlays stay visible without manual adjustment.

When a point is flagged to be excluded from a chart, it's now also excluded from any values calculated from that chart — so figures like Maximum Dry Density and Optimum Moisture match what's shown on the graph.

Drop lines on boring log reports now use the same dash pattern and thickness as the report's other separator lines for a more consistent look.

Text in certain boring log report table columns no longer appears cramped together.

Fixed two issues with charts on boring log reports — one where the chart broke when values reached the edge of the scale, and another where adding a missed sample afterward broke the chart.

After exporting boring logs, you're automatically returned to the Activity list so it's clear the export finished successfully.

Time fields across all form types now consistently display AM/PM indicators.

A formula used to pull calculated values from chart trend lines now works correctly when a chart has more than one data series.

Table labels in Report Designer previews no longer show an unexpected gap when a table spans to a third page.

Reports with many photos were being sent as download links instead of email attachments; that's been corrected.

Newly added sampler types now show up right away in new activities, instead of requiring one use in an existing activity first.

Report designers can now add internal notes to individual fields to help document form design decisions for future reference.

Soil classification pick lists can now show values grouped by their classification system (USCS, AASHTO, or Other), making them easier to navigate.

Several small usability improvements were made to the soil classification modal, including clearer rounding and display of results.

Test records marked "Untested" are no longer copied into Proctor data, preventing blank or junk records from being created.

The Lab Testing tile on the home screen now shows a "Not Reported" count for discrete test categories, matching what's already available elsewhere.

Fixed an error that caused the To Test queue to show no records even when test data was available.

Fixed an issue where changing the sort order in the lab work queue could break the Print Test List report.

Custom fields configured for LIMS sampling reports now correctly appear when reordering tests before finalizing.

DIGGS exports now include personnel roles (driller, logger, firm), Rock Quality Designation, drilling completion dates, hydrometer calibration data, well backfill material by depth, all recorded water encounters, sulfate content results, pocket penetrometer readings, and specimen-level lab records — giving you a much more complete DIGGS file with less manual follow-up.

AGS export files can now be downloaded immediately, the same way DIGGS exports already work, instead of always going through a background delivery process.

You can now choose which columns appear in your Billing Cost Data Extract and save your selection as a reusable template. Location Details and Project Manager are also now available as extract columns.

The billing cost sync now reports when a misconfigured filter causes all records to be dropped, instead of finishing silently with nothing pushed.

Activity report types can now be configured to include records in "Entered" status, not just "Complete," giving reviewers more flexibility in when reports are generated.

Attempting to create a Draft or Batch Report for activities still in Review status now shows a clear message instead of silently doing nothing.

The Finalize dialog now appears correctly when selecting a group of activities with non-consecutive numbers.

Fixed an error that caused email sending to fail immediately after finalizing a completed activity.

Data exports now include every record visible in the UI, correcting an issue where large exports were being cut off.

The Total Placement Time field now correctly calculates elapsed minutes instead of always showing zero.

The Slump Limit field on the Mix Design admin screen now accepts half-point values instead of rejecting them.

You can now remove a recipient from Activity Log notifications, and newly added recipients default to more sensible alert settings.

Fixed an issue causing search-by-name lookups (like searching for a project or client) to intermittently return a "Forbidden" error.
